Starliner Crew Flight Test

Meet the Boeing Starliner Crew: A Mission of Experience and Expertise

Starliner Crew Flight Test

The Starliner Crew Flight Test, a weeklong mission to the International Space Station (ISS), will launch from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The mission will be the first crewed flight of Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, developed in partnership with NASA's Commercial Crew Program.

Astronaut Bios

Two NASA astronauts, Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Suni Williams, will be the first to board Boeing's Starliner capsule and journey to the ISS. Wilmore, a veteran astronaut with previous experience on both space shuttle and ISS missions, holds the record for the longest single spacewalk (8 hours and 56 minutes).

Suni Williams, also an experienced astronaut, has logged more than 321 days in space, including two ISS expeditions. She has participated in six spacewalks, making her the second-highest ranking female spacewalker.

Qualifications and Experience

The Starliner crew members were carefully selected based on their exceptional qualifications and experience. Both Wilmore and Williams have extensive training in spacecraft operations, spacewalks, and emergency procedures. They are also highly skilled in scientific research and have a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Their combined experience and expertise make them the ideal candidates to complete the Starliner mission, paving the way for future commercial crew flights to the ISS.
